Nestled in the heart of the Hainaut countryside, between mysterious forests and towpaths, the guesthouse “Berges et Bois” is an invitation to slow down. Virginie and her partner welcome you into a cozy, spacious, and carefully decorated cocoon—an ideal place to recharge before setting off to explore the natural and cultural treasures of the Hainaut region.

A project born from a passion for hospitality
Together, Virginie and her partner imagined and created “Berges et Bois”: a guesthouse that reflects who they are—warm, authentic, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail so that guests truly feel at home. There is no impersonal hotel atmosphere here: you are welcomed like a visiting friend, with stories shared over coffee and insider tips that only locals know.
The room: space, comfort, and softness
Berges et Bois offers a room designed for couples seeking a peaceful and intimate getaway in a setting that is both calm and welcoming. Spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated, it provides everything needed to feel instantly at ease, like stepping into a timeless bubble.
Special attention has been paid to sleep quality and overall comfort. The bedding features Kalani bed linen, chosen for its softness and natural elegance, ensuring truly restorative nights. In the same spirit, the napkins used at breakfast are also by Kalani, adding a subtle touch of refinement to this special moment of the day.
Virginie’s favorite: the forest and its legends
If you ask your host what she loves most about the region, she will speak with emotion about the forest and its secrets: the rag tree and the Ercompuch chapel, a place steeped in history and mystery. A timeless spot that is a must-see during a forest walk.
