And the preservation of the environment.

Kalani-about-the-brand-1

The project behind Kalani

Since 2016, Kalani has been creating home textiles (linens) differently, thanks to a holistic approach combining social justice, ethics, environmental protection, sharing and transparency.

We only use sustainable, premium, carefully chosen raw materials with seamless traceability. Certified organic cotton (GOTS) is the main material we use and as our brand develops. We are sourcing and developing other materials with the guideline that they should be as ecological, ethical and traceable as possible. When we choose to work with a raw material that we can find close to home, we choose to favour "local", because this only makes sense when it is carried out close to the raw materials. Today, our different productions are made in India, Belgium and France depending on the type of product and materials.

Since 2021, we are also certified Carbon Neutral Company, in order to optimise our consumption. To offset our carbon footprint, we invest in off-setting projects (such as photovoltaic panels in India).

We do not claim to be here to save the world, although in our craziest dreams, we would really like to. But we are doing our part and we are passing it on to you so that together we can build a fairer, more sustainable world, based on transparency, exchange and co-creation. And above all, one that leaves the paths that have been laid out for decades to enter a more virtuous circle of consumption.

Organic and fairtrade certified cotton

In order to know exactly where. our cotton comes from, we smile ourselves. And in order to make it as sustainable and stable as possible for the farmers, we have partnered with other "small" textile textile brands from around the world to band together and world to join together and create a coalition to buy the cotton to buy cotton and ensure consistent quantities year after year for the cooperatives we work with. the cooperatives we work with. This is still a unique model in the world.
