Domaine de Maibelle: a peaceful retreat in the heart of the countryside

What if you took a few days to slow down, away from the noise and pace of everyday life? Just a few kilometres from Ciney and Marche-en-Famenne, Domaine de Maibelle offers a peaceful setting surrounded by fields, in a building entirely designed to welcome families and travellers looking for a little calm.

With its wooden architecture, clay-finished hemp-lime walls and large openings overlooking the countryside, the property combines simplicity, comfort and a close connection to nature. A place where you can come to explore the region, or simply take the time to do nothing at all.

A project born in the heart of a farming activity

At the origin of Domaine de Maibelle is Maximilien, a farmer who wanted to diversify his activity while creating a welcoming space in the middle of the fields.

The project was therefore designed as a destination in its own right, with particular attention paid to comfort and the environment. The building blends naturally into its rural surroundings and offers a warm atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door.

A place designed to reconnect

Domaine de Maibelle offers several spaces where everyone can find their own rhythm, whether visiting with family, friends or simply taking a few days to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Between the bedrooms, relaxation areas and infrared sauna, everything invites you to make the most of the property without needing much more. Younger guests will particularly enjoy the netted play area and table football, while others can simply savour the peaceful surroundings and the view.

Exceptionally comfortable nights

Sleep naturally plays an important role in the experience offered at Domaine de Maibelle. The bedrooms feature particularly comfortable bedding, a detail that visitors regularly appreciate.

The bed linen, bedding and towels are all by Kalani, with materials selected for their softness and comfort. An attention to detail that naturally reflects the spirit of the property: offering a simple, warm and restful experience.

What to do nearby? Nature and heritage

Domaine de Maibelle is ideally located for discovering some of the region’s highlights.

Nearby, Marche-en-Famenne offers the opportunity to explore a lively town in the heart of the Famenne region. A little further away, Durbuy charms visitors with its narrow streets, beautiful landscapes and the many activities available in the surrounding area.

For a cultural escape or a day of discovery, Namur and Dinant are also easily accessible from the Domaine.

And for those who prefer to stay close to nature, the landscapes of Famenne naturally lend themselves to walks and time spent outdoors.
